Incisor - Incisor daily Blog 29.11.2013

Hi everybody,

Here we go with the update from the Incisor. First of all everybody is alive and kicking. Yesterday we had practically no wind and everybody was trying to do his best to keep the boat moving. Therefore we enjoyed a sunny day. The ocean has been so flat, it was like the lake of Constance (Bodensee). You cannot imaging that when you think of the ocean.

First we got the message that Derek and Sandra are grandparents again. Derek’s daughter got a new born baby girl. It is amazing nowadays you’re in the middle of the ocean and due to modern technology you are able to get pictures from the UK by satellite.

As food is one of the main topics on board, we just like to inform you that we had an amazing coleslaw made by Rich (we cannot wait for the next time) that was completed by the tortilla’s with some tomato’s and apple that Sandra and Katherine had made.

In the afternoon we got the information that Michael is getting worried that he forgets his Russian language due to the fact that he needs to speak English the whole time. Josh have made some dancing moves while steering so everybody was looking at him what he was doing.

In the evening Matthias was cooking pasta and he forgot the sausages to put in. And they are German sausages!! How can he forget about this. We have also found out that Hazel and Katherine have something in common. They can make funny faces! It made everybody laugh out loud.

In the night is was very dark, no moon, no stars but there was good winds and we got further in the direction we wanted to go. It was difficult to sail with the spinnaker as there was no light so we changed to the gib again.

We plan to pass through the Cape Verde Islands through the night in our mission to avoid the large patch of light winds to the west of us.

Well that is it for now and talk to you tomorrow.

Best regards from all on board Incisor
