Millport II - Millport II - Ted's Diary

Day 1: Today we left Las Palmas on our boat Millport II. We started sailing around with all the other boats in the bay waiting for the start. I thought it was really exciting but my Mum was a bit scared to have so many boats so close to us. We heard Joel count us down over the radio and after a boom from the Warship we were off! I have never seen so many sail boats at once, it was amazing.
Lasagne for dinner, yum yum.

Day 2: Today Dad put up the wisker pole so we could go fast. We saw dolphins and lots of other ARC boats. Hurray, I got to watch a DVD before bed.

Day 3: We are not going so fast today, there is not much wind but the sun is shining. We decided to try out our new fishing rod and wow we caught our first fish. It was bright green and Dad said it was a MahiMahi. It was only about a kilo so we had it before dinner as a starter with lime juice - yummy.
My brother found the Advent Calendars Mum thought she had hidden. I can't wait to try the chocolates.
Yacht Starblazer put out a call on the radio for other boats to join him in a Virtual Happy Hour. I replied that I am only 10 but can I have a beer please. But I wasn't allowed and had to have a Diet Coke with Robert instead. Mum and Dad had a pretend beer and Karen had a pretend Dry Martini.

Day 4: This morning we had porridge with raisins and honey for breakfast.
Then we thought we would try fishing again. The line was out for only 2 minutes before we caught another fish. He was strong and it took us quite a while for Dad to bring him in. Karen used the gaffer pole to bring him on deck and I held out the big bucket to put him in. MahiMahi steaks and salad for lunch. Tonight is Caribbean Lamb for dinner.
