Now it's been a week since the ARC costume party. I had my Spiderman outfit, which isn't really a costume, since I am the real Spiderman. Well, in the party I got too excited about climbing the walls and I cut my hand on a piece of metal that was sticking out of the wall. I got my hand stitched in Las Palmas emergency room. The doctors put 10 stitches in my palm to close down the 7 cm long and 1 cm deep wound. Gladly we have a doctor on board, Fredrik, who is going to take the stitches out in some point. Las Palmas doctors suggested 7 days, but our ship doctor wants to keep them in for 10 days, which I think is a good idea since it's not completely healed. Which makes me rethink of my superhero choice. Should I actually be Wolverine instead? Or maybe I could be the Spiderman with the healing skills of Wolverine!! This is what I dreamed about all night when we were sailing in light down wind with genaker.
Last night was the first time we got good winds to put the big colorful sail up. But now (Wednesday 12:30) we have the wind against us! We did not order this! The crossing was suppose to be down wind the whole time!
We use more electricity than our solar panels and wind generator gives us, so we have had to run the motor in neutral couple of hours a day to charge the batteries. We are also thinking of turning of the other fridge to save energy.
