Edelweiss - Day #4: Bliss!

Hello from the gorgeous calm and sweet Atlantic. Not much to report other than gently rolling seas and nice 7-12 knot wind. Edelweiss is coasting along brilliantly and we're making nice time. A calm night made for good sleeping - though only 3 hours at a time. Such is lot of the crew member!

We got our wish yesterday as a pod of delightful dolphins played with our bow for a good 30 minutes. Today we had only a drive-by as they checked us out then continued on their way. Not long enough even to get the camera out! We have steadily lost companion boats as each picks out its own course - today the last one (Athena II) left our screen. Now it's just us and the dolphins!

We continue to head south to find the trade winds. Only another 450 miles or so to reach the Cape Verde Islands.... in the meantime, we'll watch for more sea life (always a morale booster!) and hope for continued lovely conditions.
