Shine - Day 2 Dolphin and ,Dorado

Another 200 miles under the belt (exactly 400.8 from the start line in
48 hours) and sliding along nicely.
Foredeck fun and games after dark last night as we tried to roll in the
'A 'sail. Anything that could wrap itself onto the semi-rolled sail
managed to do so, but after much foredeck manliness, that chap Dunger
saved the day with the judicious use of his big knife. Ten minutes later
in what was a most surreal scene, we were sitting around the saloon
table eating a fine spaghetti bolognese washed down with a glass of
Rioja-the show must go on.
A rather dark wet night and dawn broke to grey drizzle but still plenty
of wind...................STOP PRESS......got to go as we've caught our
first fish.
I'm back now and a small 5lb dorado is now filletet in the fridge and
will be eaten as sushi this evening at our daily 18:00 happy hour. I'm
sure all readers will be pleased to hear that we have wasabi powder and
plenty of soya sauce, so fret not.
Anyway, back to our progress. A very wet morning was improved
dramatically by a pod of 50 or so dolphins playing around the boat , a
sight we all agreed one never tires of.
Normal service has now resumed are we are back to sunshine, with Giles
on the helm and the majority of the crew reading or sleeping.
Onward and upwards,
Samuel P
