La Rochelle - Day 1

Managed to have our gooseneck repaired and got under way at 7 pm. The pressure has dropped since yesterday, but we were still slipping through the water under full main and poled out headsail in the mid 7's. The breeze overnight swung quiet a lot and we ended up doing 3 jibes. In the morning the breeze settled into 60 degress 12-15 knots and out came the "weapon", high 7's all day under the expert helming of louvre, Kite down at sunset and back to poled out headsail and full main plus staysail, breeze in the 13- 18 knot range giving us low 7's, very except able.

Pretty much on the rhumb line and should have similar conditions today. Pretty much given up fishing, have lost 10 lures since the canaries for 0 fish, but plenty of flying fish on the deck at night, one flying fish "flew "through the port hole and landed on the bathroom floor.

Settling into our routine nicely (1869 NM to go)
