Mad Fish - Dodgy weather

Sorry I have not written for a while. We went through the bottom end of a low pressure system a couple of days ago that resulted in the wind going through 360 degrees, (making sure it paused at 35 knots when dead on the nose) with associated rain etc.

However, we believe we got away with it quite lightly as we kept wind and progress was ok. Talking of which we are very happy with the progress we are making toward St Lucia. We were hoping for a crossing time of three weeks. This looks well within our grasp and we have half an eye on making the party next saturday night. We shall see.

After 12 days we have finally got the spinnaker up and we are making around 7.5 knots with nice surfs up to ten knots. We will break through the 1000 miles to go in about an hour. Emma has made scones to celebrate and we have champagne in the fridge from the abandoned half way party. (It was pouring with rain!)

All happy aboard the fish.
Russell
