We are having an extended stay in Gibraltar (La Linea) after our exhaust system from the turbo through to the exhaust hose fell apart on entry to the Gibraltar Straits a couple of weeks ago. We drilled, wired, wrapped and strapped the exhaust together and crawled at tickover for the last 40nm to Gibraltar, anchoring at Tarifa to wait for a renewed tide. Of course the exhaust would fall apart on entry to busy shipping lanes, on a spring tide, just at the point the wind dies uptide of the only shallows in the Straits, with no further winds forecast for 3 days ahead. Hope to get going again early in October.
