Crazy Horse - April 1

We waited around the boatyard all day and finally we were launched at 6pm. Jeannius went into the water before us and headed down to Port Louis to pave the way and hold a spot at the dock for us. We didn't arrive until 10pm. Bill, Matt, Anna , and I were exhausted from a full hot day at the yard but we were happy to be out of the yard and back on the water. Before we left, Basia and Michael got a ride to the local hotel that we stayed in while our boat was out of the water. I think they will enjoy La Sagesse and the friendly hosts they have there. Everyone was so nice to us and we felt
at home there. I think it will be a wonderful place for them to relax and unwind from all the stress they have been under with the horrible trauma they have been through with the collision.

So we will get up early tomorrow and get our provisioning done and check out started. We hope to start for Mayreau but may wait until Sunday to leave. It all depends on how long it takes to get our supplies and refueling completed. The wedding is still set for Tuesday so we are feeling a little pressured to get a move on. Crazy Horse has a new fitted out antenna, painted hull, sides shined and polished and some parts even repainted . We even have a new anchor holder to
keep the anchor in place while we are at sea. That should be a lot better without all the rattle and rolling that usually goes on in passage. The shaft seal is not replaced and that is on order to be replaced in St. Lucia we hope, before the next long leg home. But Bill got the hose replaced that caused all the problems with the overheating on the last passage. The canvas has been repaired and we hope will hold together until we get home. So we feel cleaned up and polished and ready for the next adventure.

When we arrived at the dock Jean, Mike , Moe, and Bev were there to take our lines and put us in the right slot. It was dark and Jean's white pants were a welcome sight so we could find our way in. We all ate at the local marina restaurant and are now ready to "hit the hay". That must be a purely American saying because they all looked at me and smiled when I said it to the group. Can't take the country out of the girl.

So off to bed we go to rest up for our 40 some miles to Mayreau. That doesn't sound so far compared to some of our trips this past year. We hope to get some wind in our sails along the way.

Rosemary, Bill, Matt, and Anna
