Dala - Farewell Bermuda!

Hi, all,

That's it! We left about two hours ago Bermuda and are now sailing toward Horta, Faial Island in the Azores.
I could have stayed in Bermuda at least three weeks! What a lovely place: Super lovely people, kind weather, History, exceptional pink sand beaches, exceptional landscapes, excellent seafood (my favorite), the world record of golf courses per capita and much much more...
We spent there about 5 days and a half. At least 2 days were taken by taking care of our rigging (we've got a serious incident with our main sail, I'll write another message to the blog for that since it's rather technical and I don't want to bore my non-sailing friends).
So we could enjoy touring only about 3 days or less but it was awesome! We toured the historic St Georges Harbour (a UNESCO heritage site), climbed the 200 stairs to Gibbs Hill Lighthouse and enjoyed the astonishingly beautiful landscape, spent a day on those pink beaches including Horseshoe Bay, one of the world's best, ate delicious seafood in the best restaurants there and more. But there was much more to do. Among others, I am frustrated that I found no time to play golf on one of the six perfectly maintained, manicured greens, golf courses. It was enjoyable simply to have a look at them.
For this and all the rest, we'll certainly sail again to Bermuda.

Farewell, Bermuda!
