El Mundo - 01/12 - Turning South

The day started with light winds and an uneasy motion for the boat in a rolly sea. However, as the morning went on the wind went more to the East which allowed us to gybe and run more to the South, 'goose-winged'. By early afternoon the wind had filled in to 15-20 knots and continued like that overnight, so latterly we have made good progress, even though the log shows only 150 miles for the last 24 hours.

The change in direction and more consistent wind has allowed everyone to get a better nights sleep, in between watches.

During cocktail hour we enjoyed the first of each crew members 'Desert Island Discs', where you present 6 or 7 songs that represent significant mmoments in your life. The skipper went first......unfortunately no-one else remembered 'Two Little Boys' by Rolf Harris!

We also celebrated Independence Day for Barbados and South Yemen!

Sunday dinner (St Andrews Day) was fillet steak, with ratatouille and french fries.....seemed to go down well.
We caught two more Dorado during the day and returned them to te sea.
Let's hope this wind stays with us....
