OOROO1 - First weekend on the Atlantic !

Great banana cake today devoured in short time. Only 80 ripe bananas to go. Another full day of sailing with the Main and Genoa out. NWesters blew all day and night so we headed a bit South for comfort. 1 reef in the Genoa for most of the day. Gennaker coming out today. Thanks to ARC for the weather and fleet updates and mailasail for the GRIB files. Keep them coming. A few small whales put on a great jumping display and provided some excitement for the crew. All of us got to eat our roast vegie dinner last night with no ill effects !!! Floss and Jeno been creating culinary delights in the kitchen. Went wild on our first Friday night on the Atlantic, all in bed by 7. Enormous 200 foot cruiser “Oasis” is just motoring past us but that is the only boat we have seen. Squalls, squalls, squalls !!  Life is good .....
