Morning Haze - Sailor Ted joins the crew of Morning Haze for his first Atlantic Passage!!!

Hello everyone,

My name is Sailor Ted and I have just found myself a boat to cross the Atlantic. Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting the Hayes, a french Canadian family of four aboard their Hunter 410, Morning Haze. David and Isabelle are the proud parents of Rebecca (14) and Demi (10) and they have started their journey from Canada last year and plan to complete their Atlantic tour in June.

Already I have become good friend with Rebecca and Demi. In fact, Demi and I have become best friend and I cuddled with her last night in her cabin. It was very windy and a boat (just beside us) saw his brand new genoa unfurled in the middle of the night. Everybody was up...but in the end, it all turned out ok.

This morning, as we were doing last minutes preparations, we learned from Andrew on the VHF that all divisions starts had been postponed until tomorrow because of the prevailing conditions. I was not too disappointed as I will have a chance to walk around the marina with Demi and Rebecca and get to meet their friends on the docks while David and Isabelle will try to rest before the start tomorrow.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that I feel just at home aboard Morning Haze and I have already picked up a few french words! I will try to blog a few lines regularly during our crossing so our family and friends can follow us on our journey toward St-Lucia. I am looking forward to my first crossing of the Atlantic and can't wait to meet all of you on the pontoons!

Cheers,

Sailor Ted
