George - Land Ahoy!

Goerge is approaching the Canaries and and this morning greeted us with sight of the northern tip of Lanzarote, at least we hope it is Lanzarote! Yesterday we were treated to a whole afternoon of entertainment from various species of Dolphins. They got so common in fact that they were not even pointed out unless mid air acrobatics were involved. We have had fair winds and moderate sea conditions that have seen a steady 7-8 knots of boat speed for most of the passage. We should make Las palmas by tomoro early hours of the morning. George and her owner Tim have been great hosts and have both behaved themselves extremely well during the passage, although Tim's choice of music continues to cause curiosity and concern, especially as he has a whole terabyte of the stuff to listen to during the ARC. We have learnt a lot about the boat and it's foibles during the trip, which of course is one the main purposes of the passage. Only 120 miles to go! See you in Las palmas.
