Serendipity - Treacle miners hit a rich seam of form

The crew of Serendipity who are all members of the Dunchideock Treacle Miners Sailing Club managed to score a second victory after ignoring the rest of the fleet and taking the shortest route on leg 3 to the finish line. This meant that weactually finished 6nm due west of the western end of Molhe Norte on the stunning entry to the Douro River. Despite some doubters on the rally who could not see us finishing because we were so far out, the excellent decision by WCC Rally Control to keep the Yellowbrick trackers on board on all yachts has proved inconclusively that our victory was legitimate. The victory was despite being up against super fast yachts and excellent race crews making the win even more special.

Graham's Port Lodge tour and subsequent meal was superb and DTMSC would like to thank Graham's and the Douro Marina for their excellent hospitality.
