After a fast and bumpy sail from Musket Cove Fiji, the World ARC fleet are now arriving into Vanuatu’s Tanna. This unique exciting island holds some of the world’s most natural beauty, the main being Mount Yasur the most accessible volcano in the world. The fleet will visit the Volcano during their time in Tanna to experience one of the most awe inspiring sights of their lives. They will then be free to cruise north to Port Villa where a function will be held on the 13th July to wish farewell to the departing yachts.

It was a very wet sail, with up to 5m waves, many crew unfortunately struggling with the conditions and the arrived yachts now wait for the remaining yachts anxiously before the fleet can relax. The first yacht to arrive was Branec IV, having their anchor laid by 1030 on Monday 8th July, five hours before Rally Control arrived on their pick up truck from Tanna airport.

The participants will remain here in this special place of Port Resolution until Thursday when they will head north. In that time, they are welcome to explore the village and get involved with the local way of living. The people here are very friendly and are all happy to help.
