Having now sailed around many different islands in the pacific, the World ARC fleet are now arriving here on Mololo Lailai for their planned rendezvous. Situated just a few miles from Fiji’s capital, Nadi, Mololo Lailai is a quiet and beautiful island offering many facilities that the sailors are greatly appreciating. Electricity has been available on the dock; some yachts found this a luxury, as they have not plugged in for about 2months.

The yachts, as they arrive have been enjoying exchanging stories of their cruising adventures and simply catching up since they were last all together. Some haven’t seen each other since Tahiti, which to most feels like a long time ago.

Both Storyteller and Southern Princess have already been here a while spending time with families who flew in with grandchildren. John and Irene Hunt had not met their youngest grandson Cooper until last week; he has just started walking and celebrated his first birthday over the weekend. Irene is over the moon to have met Cooper at last after a year of only exchanging photos via Mailasail.

A full fun program has been planned for our stopover here at Musket Cove resort, including BBQ’s, beach games, kayaking races and more. We hope the participants will enjoy their time here in Fiji and get the most out of what there is on offer.
