Hugur - Goodbye to beautiful Saint Lucia

Nú kveðjum við þessa fallegu eyju St Lucia, við komum hér næst í April 2014. Ævintýrið með Watermakerinn er ekki búið, Þeir (REGIS) gáfust upp í gær sem voru búinir að hafa verkefnið frá 3 desember í sínum höndum. Nú vonum við að sænskur Nick sem kom og hjálpaði okkur í gær nái að fixa málið en við förum á startlínuna eftir 10 mínutur og hann er enn ókomin þurfti að skreppa til næsta bæjar eftir varahlutnum. Við krossum fingur og látum hann þá hoppa frá borði við startlínuna og ARC fólkið pikkar hann upp í dingy. Bið og vona að það gangi eftir , þá ætti allt að vera farið að virka eins og á að gera. Myndin er frá the Pitons frá akkerislæginu sem við vorum á með Söru og Davie daginn sem þau fóru

Now we say farewell to this beautiful island St Lucia, we will come here next in April 2014. The Adventure with the watermaker is still not over though it has been
a task for many technicians and electricians both in Cape Verdes and since arrival in early December and yesterday the Regis guys gave up, a disappointment that they always come last minute and then cannot get the thing fixed. Our hope now is Nick the Swedish electrician who helped us with loads of things yesterday, he came by and heard about our dilemma, he has run to Castries to get a spare and we will be a little delayed to the start line. ARC Yellowshirts are helpful and ready
to take him a shore in a dingy if we need to take him with us to the start line.

The picture is from the Pitons in Sufriere the day we left our daughter Sara and son in law Davie on the 4th of January after a fantastic Xmas holiday together where we sailed south to St Vincent and the Grenadines with two stops in both The Tobago keys and Union Islands.

I want to thank all the great people of World Cruising Club who really are helpful and making our days ever so pleasant and enjoyable.
Fair winds everyone.
