Duplicat - Wednesday 11th 14.31N 41.19W

Be careful what you wish for! We now have 20/28 knots from E but still a long northerly swell on the quarter. Last night was fairly peaceful early on 20 knots with just a full main, lovely moon and stars and then before midnight the first of the squalls. One crept up from behind and gave us a quick swipe of 30 plus knots which facilitated a quick main drop and half the jib pulled out. Now in daylight we have one reef and the code zero up which seems to be happy for now. Dinner may be a more modest affair than previous days but the miles are dropping away now and tomorrow will be our 'less than 1000 to go' celebration.
