Starla - Log Day 13 - Chocolate Rations

Hello Everyone,

Distance logged today - 95 nautical miles. Distance to date this trip - 1594 nautical miles. Remaining miles to St Lucia 1429.

Another slow day. We had 8 - 10 knots of wind for a few hours in the afternoon, which then lightened in the evening to 3 - 5 knots all form the south east.

A few more days of this should see us in to some strong north easterly winds and a big increase speed and distance per day.

More activity last night before dark, we had a school of dolphins swimming along with us in our bow wave.

After dinner on an evening, we like to have a coffee and a piece of chocolate as a treat. The stocks are running low, so we are now on rations. One square each! Believe me that will be better not having any and running out. We believe that the depletion in the chocolate stocks was due to a very special rodent called a chocolate mouse, that must have sneaked in to the fridge at opportune moments and nibbled away.

It is really getting hot in the day now. The sun has been shinning all day. The sea is calm, difficult to comprehend that you are in the middle of an ocean

Regards,

Starla Crew
