Synopsis: Low pressure is centred over Spain with a surface trough from the low into Finisterre. Saturday a front moves into Biscay with low pressure to the west of Portugal. Another low develops in Biscay on Sunday with surface troughs moving wet to east.

Synopsis: Low pressure is centred over Spain with high pressure ridging into North Biscay. The high recedes over the next 24 hrs and by 12Z Friday a surface trough will extend across western Biscay with low pressure stationary over Spain. Another low will be west of Portugal with a cold front near the western coast. This moves into Biscay and Spain on Saturday.

Synopsis: High pressure near Scotland is ridging down into Biscay and will continue into Thursday. Weak thermal low remaining stationary over Spain with cold front/surface troughs near western Portugal on Friday. By Friday the ridge has receded north with lows over France and another west of Portugal.

Synopsis: Remnants of old warm front now lie west of Plymouth into Western Biscay. Low pressure is centred over southern Portugal with thermal troughing over western Iberia. Models suggest 20-25 kts off NW Spain but looks under forecast with this situation. So as often the case with this set up, have increased the winds in this area. Another surface trough is near the western coast of France. Wednesday sees high pressure north of Scotland ridging into SW channel into Biscay with weak low over Spain. Deep low then develops east of the Azores.

Synopsis: A weak warm front lies through Plymouth into central Biscay. This will continue dissipating over the next 24 hrs. Cell of intensifying high pressure now centred near western Ireland, 1033mb. Thermal troughing is across western Iberia and this will be stationary with low pressure over Portugal by Wednesday 12Z. Surface troughs will lie across Plymouth and eastern Biscay on Tuesday.
