Nexus - Day 3 becalmed on a beautiful day

We had a beautiful day sailing in variable winds yesterday, with the full mix of sailing experiences! We started our day sailing on white sails and decided it was time to pull out the Gennaker as the wind went lighter and aft. Our Gennaker was just repaired by the folks at Ullman Sails and returned loosely wrapped on the furling line. As we were raising it I said to Mike "I don't like how loose that is, this is going to end badly". an observation I should have listened to. We ended up with a world class gennaker hourglass wrap and had to pull the whole sail off the line, wool it and re-launch it again. We were rewarded with a perfect opening and the winds picked up aft, so we were surfing along at 10-17kts with the wind puffs and caught up again with the rest of our small group of boats. We were visited by a large pod of very active dolphins along the way, which rewarded us again by playing all about the boat. This morning the wind has steadily decreased to about 10kts from the aft quarter, so we're creeping along at 4-6kts now thinking about putting the screecher up or turning on the "aluminum Genny". We're loath to start the engine, but the winds need to increase just a bit to make it worthwhile to change the sails. We're being patient for now!
