We were delighted that despite the unseasonable summer weather some of our Corporate Members could join us for a fun sailing day in the Solent. Robert Holbrook and Nicki Roberts from Admiral Marine, Janet Murphy and Liz Multon from Adlard Coles/Bloomsbury, Charl Sharman and Russell Davies from Oyster, Lindsay Ross from Fischer Panda, Mandy Boughton from Ocean Safety and Sandra McKenzie from Mercator Media joined Rachel and Jeremy onboard Windward Sailing's CM60 Venomous. With 25 knots of wind, Venomous was quick to show us what a Farr designed 18m caron-fibre racer can do; easily reaching 12 knots with a reefed main and small jib. The driving rain only slightly dampened everyone's enthusiasm as the group took turns steering and manning the coffee-grinder winches under the expert eyes of Derek and Sandra Saunders and their team. Not quite ARC sailing weather!
