In regard to my experience related at sea, I love sports in general and in particular water-related sports. Living in a island gives me plenty of facilities for practicing them. In regards of navigation, I have the degree of Pattern of Motor Yachts and Sailing since 2007, so I am allowed to drive boats up to 12 meters. I have sailed mostly in tandem boats and sailing sports Hobbi Cat 5 m in length, and sporadically in boats of 12 meters around the island of Fuerteventura. I am also a diver, I have the certificate of PADI diving Advance, with number of investments in different countries and 6 years of experience. Besides fishing practice underwater and my favorite sport is surfing, I try to practice it every day. I could contribute as part of the crew as the pilot relay ship and maintenance, prepare an emergency kit for the trip with all necessary materials, cooking, especially Spanish food and generally any other activity required. Besides, I have flexibility of days available for the trip. Highlight of my qualities that I am a quiet, patient, facing quite well any emergency situation, I enjoy good conversation and I am a very positive person. -- My name is Victor, I have 30 years old and live on the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands and I am interested in joining ARC 2012 as a crew member. I am passionate about the sea, practice diving, surfing, fishing and of course sailed. From 3 years I do race usual with a First 40 or similar boats as bowman or tailer. I work for a Beneteau reseller transferring new boats from France to Sicily. I have experience of more 4000 miles in Mediterranean sea. I'm a skipper, with an Italian off-limit nautical license and the VHF radio certificate. Right now I even teach a young agonistic laser team for national competition. It's long time that I want to cross the Atlantic so I'm really interested in the ARC race. I'm an easygoing person, that love the sea and love to live on board, even for long period, I really like it ! I will be in Canarian Islands in October or anytime you need. We have sailed competitively since a very young age, mostly dingies. We do have experience on yachts but not long journeys like this. I worked as a senior instructor this summer in the local yacht club. We are outgoing and adventurous and seeking a challenge.
