I would like to sail from New Jersey to Southern England in July 2012. Is there a reason why I shouldn't set a course (77 deg true) and sail directly to destination. I would like to stay below lat 45 as much as possible and still keep the predominate wind and current. All suggestions will be appreciated.

thanks in advance
