Helen - Day 5

The challenges of the bread maker! Each day I put the same bread mixture, amount of yeast but possibly not quite the same amount of water due to the rolling of the yacht, into the machine and switch it on. Three and a half hours later it's a moment of wonder as to what shape of loaf it will be as it is turned out. We have had the port tack, the starboard tack, confused seas ( this one had a most interesting top) and this trip what I call the top hat. A very tall loaf that was a devil to slice as the top was just air holes.
All loaves I hasten to add are very edible and enjoyed with a variety of fillings each lunch time. However uniformity of slice size and ease of actual slicing are a daily topic of discussion.
