Yacht A Lady is first yacht to arrive in Horta followed by Sookie & Nora Simrad

On the evening of 25/05/2012 at 22:30 local, Yacht A Lady sailed across the finish line at Horta. Despite the challenging weather conditions, the crew were all in great spirits. Skipper Stephan Hyde described how they had a great sail over the 9 days it took them to cross from Bermuda, a very impressive time in anyone's book.
Yacht Sookie followed A Lady closely and crossed the finish line in Horta at 0610 local, with Nora Simrad making her way across the finish line at 1110 this morning. This shows how close the leaders are even after a 1800NM passage. Everyone is looking forward to exploring the island of Faial later on in the week. Yachts A Lady and Sookie safely rafted up inside Horta Marina after their Atlantic crossing.
Everyone is in great spirits and looking forward to the Happy Hours in Peter Cafe Sport starting this evening! It is clear to see that everyone is happy to see eachother again, and have someone else to engage conversation with other than their crew. Crew help out with eachothers lines and feel the relief of being tied up in the safe haven of the Azores.
