Millport II - Ted's Diary - Days 13 - 15

Day 13: It is still windy today which is good. We bought some more bananas in Mindelo so we had porridge with bananas, raisins and honey for breakfast. Mum said today that I am not to fish anymore until all the meat on the boat is gone because it will otherwise go bad. Its only a few days so I don't mind too much. We had Brazilian chicken for dinner again tonight - yummy. After dinner Karen taught Robert and I now know how to play a game she brought called Bean Farmer. Its a really good game but Robert won.

Day 14: Fried eggs and beans for breakfast. I had to have another shower this morning, I didn't think I was that smelly though. This afternoon Dad decided to change the sails because the wind was not as strong. It was really bouncy when we turned the boat around into the waves which made me feel a bit sick. I was ok when we turned back again and Mum gave me a slice of Karen's Mum's christmas cake which made me feel much better. We have two sails at the front of the boat now called yankees and no mainsail up. Chilli for dinner, then Mum, Robert and I played Bean Farmer again.

Day 15: Last night it was so hot I couldn't sleep. It was really hot today as well. This morning I had two breakfasts - porridge and fried eggs with ham on a wrap. Robert and I did quite a lot of school work today because the boat was not rolling too much. This afternoon it was so hot that Dad put me in the bosuns chair and dropped me over the side of the boat into the water. It was really fun and I felt a lot cooler afterwards. Caribbean Lamb for dinner. Dad let us watch a movie tonight before bed, hurray.
