Hello Everybody! There is great excitement on board as we have just cracked the 1000 mile barrier! At bloody last! It’s all downhill from here. During the night it was the night of sail change. We put sails up down round and round back and front, all over the place! It involved lots of string work and everyone is now capable of making a macramé hanging basket holder. We took the main down and put it back up again, took the spinnaker down, put the staysail up, took that down and put up the wind seeker, then put up butch and now have the spinnaker back up. The night watch went very very quickly considering there was absolutely no wind which is usually very tedious. Everyone’s spirits are still very high and there is a real team spirit on board.  Alex is the man of the match today by getting in touch with his feminine side. He has spent 2 and a half hours in the kitchen attending to the water maker, helping with lunch, clearing up, washing up and to top it all off made a nice cup of tea at the end of it and to treat himself for such good work he had a cappuccino. In case you were all terribly worried, the surgery opened for a check up on Josh’s knee this afternoon and its all looking much better – Matthias was a little sad as he was looking forward chopping it off to a good leg of ham for dinner tonight! Sandra and Hazel were shocked today to hear that Kat had never heard of Honey Boo Boo – not a woman of the world as we once thought!!Rich could not cope with the depth of these conversations and had to have a time out downstairs. However, Mikhail enjoyed the impressions of Honey Boo Boo that Hazel and Sandra were attempting. Derek kept tutting every time we laughed as the spinnaker collapsed as there was not completely 100% concentration on the sailing. Mark was interrogated as to whether he moonlighted as a Prince Harry lookalike, and he confirmed that he had indeed been mistaken for him. This came as quite a shock to Kat as she thought he was Prince Harry. Unlucky. We are currently sailing straight to St. Lucia and the wind is due to pick up some more in the next few days so VMG is king smak down. Hooray!
