1001 Arabian Nights with the ARC+

06 November 2014

ARC+ crews sailed back on a fantasy trip through ancient and medieval folklore yesterday evening as they enjoyed a ‘1001 Arabian Nights Folk Lore’ themed costume party. Almost all crews who attended dressed up in costume and there were many terrific outfits representing the  Arabic, Persian, Indian, Egyptian and Mesopotamian influence on the theme.

The costumes were so good that World Cruising Club staff, themselves dressed as Sheiks, Bandits and Harem Dancing Girls, had a hard job to judge the winners of the best costumes in the various categories.

It was a great display from everyone but the winners were:

Best Child – Yannick on Paroya

Best Children – Rebekka, Sara & Hanna on Delphia

Best Woman – Frances on Alia Vita

Best Man –  Bob Glassman on Reberth

Best Crew – Linda, David & Paul on Purrrfect

Best Couple – Svanfridur & Kristofer on Hugur
