First full days sail and Bristolian is making good progress, although we are still quite far east.
Grand Canaria gave all the boats that decided to go on Sunday a fantastic wave off, marching bands and hundreds of waving spectators. Our start was somewhat delayed by a twisted line which caused problems raising the main sail, but we were shortly underway.
We have made good progress in steady winds - not in the perfect direction for us, but we hope to see the desired trade winds before too long.
Team are all in good spirits, and looking forward to leaving the african coast for the mid atlantic
