After watching the weather closely, it was decided that it would be better for us to leave for Bayona on Saturday lunchtime. After a mad dash to the supermarket to re-provision for the long crossing, I returned to the boat to pre prepare some evening meals whilst the boys got the boat ready. We left our berth in Falmouth at approx 1pm and headed west. The sea state was a little rough after the recent bad weather but Scarlet Lady handled things well. We started our 3 hours on, 3 hours off watch system after a couple of hours to establish a routine for the trip and all went well.
