Anastasia - Waiting for clearance into Fiji

:46.7S 179:19.7E

We have arrived in Savusavu.  The significant thing about our position is that it is now 179:19 East.  Last night we crossed over 180 degrees of longitude (ie half way round the world) and we are now approaching Greenwich from the east, rather than departing from the west.

Working out the current time, date and position relative to the UK is becoming increasingly challenging for someone who still has to think twice what the current year is.  For example, we crossed the dateline and are now GMT + 12, so no longer behind the UK and counting up the hours, but 11 hours ahead of the UK (when you allow for British Summer Time) and counting down the hours from here.

Anyway, time has little meaning anyway while we are sitting here moored in Nakama Creek on the island of Vanua Levu waiting for the health officer, followed by the quarantine, customs and then immigration officers.  It is a still, hot and humid day.  31 degrees already and it is only 10:30 am.  The "babies" are still asleep after their night watches.

Here is a picture of the creek. 22
