Purrr-fect - Leg Two - May 19 - Day 4

Just clocked over 200 miles in the last 24 hours, so Purrrfect is really moving. We continue to study all available weather information in the hopes that we will get good wind from the moving high pressure but not get caught in over 30 knots. We are still in shock about the sad news of our rally boat, Outer Limits, which was holed by a whale last night and had to abondon ship when they were rescured by a nearby cargo vessel.

We saw 3 large container and cargo ships at various times last night, and had the opportunity to contact them via VHF using the AIS. It is comforting to know that large ships can see us on radar and take care to avoid us.

No fishing today since Dave lost his new expensive lure to the 6 foot shark yesterday when they cut the shark free. All is well
