Sheila and I have checked up on Dreamcatcher (a HR 48 that participated in the World ARC 2010) here in Auckland. They had literally just come back from a trip to the South Island when we showed up unannounced.
Talking about being surprised. As far as they knew we were in the Marquesas. But they dropped everything they were doing and joined us for a nice lunch in the local Clubhouse. Although we had never met before, just exchanged messages via Email there was no shortage of subjects.
We even did not have time to really check out the boat, but even from a distance it is clear that the boat is immaculate and in great shape. They will be ready to join the Rally in Fiji.
Yet another example of how the World ARC village is full of surprises.
