Crazy Horse - Jan 21

We did pass over into western hemisphere. What a moment. Seems like a long time since we saw that East word after our longitude. After we get to around Grenada we will be in the Northern Hemisphere. By then we will be a hop skip and a jump from home-well, almost.

It was a wonderful sailing day yesterday, last night, and again today. We are still sailing wing and wing with the wind from behind blowing SE from 16-20kts. Our boat speed has been averaging 7 to 8 kts. Have another load of wash hanging outside. It is good to be able to open the hatches and air things out. It is even not such a bad thing to cook in these seas. Over the last few days we have had pasta, stir fry with chicken, and tonight steaks again.

I just want to say the butcher and cook from the Hout Bay Yacht Club did a wonderful job of putting together some great meats that they individually froze in serving portions. We have had scrumptious filets, sirloins, chicken, sausage, and bacon. The price was not bad and everything we have had so far
makes South Africa the best so far in provisioning for meats. How great that we could order it right at the marina and have it delivered by the chef at the Yacht Club. What a great idea!!!!! Thanks to all who had a part in that decision.

We are down to 317 miles until St. Helena. Looks like we may get in to the harbor on Sunday am. We will stay there , get fuel, see the island, and hope to be on our way on Tuesday am.

Hear there is snow back home. Only thing I miss is watching the kids and pets get so excited and play in it. I for one am turning into Nana Sunshine. I'd be happy every day with that!
