Cleone - Leg 18 - Mauritius to Reunion

It's only 135 miles from Mauritius to Reunion.

 

And even for Cleone it was less than 24 hours at sea.  We hardly had time for anything, particularly as we had to motor much of the way.  Alex continued his Chinese theme with another virtuoso display at the galley, producing an epic stir-fried chicken.  This had a slightly disappointing introduction.  During the afternoon, Alex managed to catch a magnificently silvered small Tuna (and he lost a couple of other fish).  Following a warning from La Boheme, a close inspection showed this to be riddled with parasites, so for safety reasons it was discarded.

 

Apart from that, it was an uneventful trip, with Cleone arriving at the back end of the pack, but thanks to the Yanmar, which again put in a sterling performance, not absolutely last!
