We are not allowed to go ashore until customs arrive which they announce will not be till Wednesday morning. In the meantime 4 guys from the yacht on our port side "Khulula" stop by on their way back from Home Island. They stop for drinks and as I had a big piece of beef in the oven, they stayed for dinner as well. They are all young and met at engineering college in Canada. 3 of them (the other guy was a visitor) saved for 3 years after graduating and bought their yacht to sail round the world. They sail for a while stop to earn some money and then off again. Last working was in New Zealand. Really nice guys with a very interesting story to tell! Needless to say we have only remembered 2 of their names Ryan and Dave despite spending about 3 hours with them. Such is the collective memory of 3 old and 1 not so old codgers! We will be in touch with them by SSB on our way to Mauritius. They are leaving on Wednesday via Rodriquez.

So swaying palm trees, turquoise blue water and golden sand. Yes we are coping with Cocos!
