Luna Quest - Wednesday, 19 August, 2015

Noon Position: 10.46S 136.06E

Daily logged run: 150 miles

The weather continues fine, blue skies, good sailing breezes from the East/South East and full sunshine. A school of dolphins kept us company for quite some time yesterday afternoon, ducking and diving at the bow. Luna Quest was making around 6.5knots, while the dolphins were able to accelerate and swim much faster. This morning we found a tired bird perched on the lifelines. We have had him before sitting on deck, but this time he was perched huddled up as though the plastic-wrapped life lines were a thin branch of a tree. He did not seem to mind being rolled about. When the sun had gathered a little strength, he preened himself before flying off for breakfast.
