Adagio - Fish on!

Finally!! After a couple of Really good "the one that got away" stories (and it is frustrating to them have them shake the hook after wrestling them right up to the boat) we finally landed our first fish. Not really big, but plenty for a fresh ceviche and tasty fillets four four. Yum!!

We're still plodding along in a search for favorable winds but, alas, it seems we are to tack out way in for the last few hundred miles. Tradewinds are at last building, but they are out of the southeast, and guess which way we want to go :) Ah well, the beauty of it all is that in just a short while we'll be joining the rest of the rally at Nanny Cay and ~then~ the real story telling can start :)

Not much to report, really. Adagio is doing what we ask without complaint. I have photos of our speed at both 10.5 knots and 1.5 knots so that pretty much sums up the winds. We've luckily avoided any serious weather thus far; just a couple of showers and puffy air, but nothing beyond 30kts or so. We've seen a cruise ship go by, a couple of tankers and watched the flying fish skitter across the waves. Sunsets, moonrises, rainbows and amazing starry skies. Yes, it's bouncy and we pound into the waves at 25 degrees of heel making it hard to move about, but it's fine sailing considering we're essentially crossing an ocean.

Fair Winds!
