Just as we ask for any private food cashets to be declared and pooled for the common good, our last two meat meals allocated and the sundowners becoming a shared glass of water passed around for the traditional cockpit 'together time' discussing days events, crew differences sorted, weather tactic and routing talk, bad jokes etc., the shout went up 'big fish on'!! Slowly and skillfully and on a hand line we, (ok Ian ) pulled in the catch of the voyage for sure with this, ( see pic) superb specimen of a Wahoo, the fastest predator of the ocean.We soon had 20 generous steaks and crew moral soared. Out with the hand rolling sushi kit and wasabi and all were happy except non fish eating Bill who resorted to soup again.Tactics now as waiting for wind to fill while sliding south.
