Amokura - Amokura Day 8

Blue skies, sunshine, flowers blooming, children saying, “Hello” (Spanky and Our Gang)

Wicked day yesterday.
We forgot to have dinner.
Stayed on watch in wet weather gear.
Now drying out the inside of the boat, which someone remarked smells like a racing boat. Dampness abounds.

This morning we found the sun and a few scattered clouds. And, as always, a few squalls to run through.
We are trying to skirt around weather waiting for, what one hopes, the trade winds to show up tomorrow.

Our blooming flower is an aloe plant we bought in Lanzarote. Hangs our in the galley.

And emails from the our kids are a perfect respite and recharger.

Our odd northern sail jumped us into a few other boats. One hailed us and wondered where we were eventually landing, as our current course was on track for Greenland.
Eventually we tacked and are heading into the sun.

Spirits are improving.

We will have dinner tonight.
