Starla - Log Day 7 - Very Tough

Hello Everyone,

Distance logged today - 160 nautical miles. Distance to date this trip - 830 nautical miles.

During the day, all was fine, 10-15 knots, south east to south west, sailing nicely. As the evening came the wind got very strong, 30-35 knots. It was truly a roller coaster ride down wind!

Because of the high winds overnight, the sea state is rough today.

Cooking is not really possible, so it was cold hot dogs and beans for breakfast/lunch.

The weather forecast is looking better and we should be able to pick up some North East trade winds in a few days time.

If our track on the map looks a bit strange, you now know why!!

Regards,

Starla Crew
