George - Tip of Day.....

Our tip of the day from SY George is to use your wet wipes from the top downwards. This tip sadly too late for one of our crew members who no-one wants to sit next to. Second gold start of the week for Steve for his fantastic soda bread yesterday. Still no luck with the fishing despite Tim blessing the boat with a banana before leaving LP. Hacking along SW downwind with a little hankie of jib out in 25kts of wind and still doing over 8 knots....we peaked at 11 knots water speed during the night....MK 19N 26W

Here is just an insight into last nights night watch. Its basically black no stars tipping it down with rain and the occasional flash of lightning, we are ploughing along at 7-8 knots with ribbons of green phosphorescent plankton billowing from our bow wave, as it passes down he boat you can see billions of bright sparkles with the occasional larger explosions of green. From the stern you see a long green line from where the keel has ploughed through the water with again billions of green speckles and the odd larger explosion of green. In the distance you see these large ominous green shadows rolling and twisting in the blackness! Did I mention it was raining.TB
