Keoma - Keoma Day 7

Well, after days of praying for wind it has arrived by the truck load!  Steady breeze built through the night from 15 – 20 kts through to 30  by day break. This brought about the corresponding sail changes from kite to scrapet of headsail and the reefs went in, all good fun in the dark and 5m swell running through.  The menu might be a bit less sophisticated today due to the sea state, not sure the best silver wear will stay on the table!
All eyes on todays position log, has our southerly trajectory paid off?

Our skipper has evidently seen a shark this morning, last night was bumpy to say the least, followed by an even bumpier morning but at last pointing in the right direction. Problem is the wind is due to drop again tomorrow so there is talk of going even further south, problem is that there are some islands now in the way, watch this space

Rapidly approaching Mindello in Cape Verde Islands, what will Keoma’s game plan be?  Watch this space, and the tracker.
