Starla - Log Day 4 - Stars or Planets

Hello Everyone,

Distance logged today - 116 nautical miles. Distance to date this trip - 455 nautical miles.

A little improvement over yesterday. The wind was still very light, however improved in to the late evening, going lighter again in to this morning.

Still battling on.

As we are heading west, we see a very bright low level star in the night to the south west. As Peter is the astronomy geek on-board, he has some computer software with him, where he can put the position of observation in to the computer application, and it shows an expected picture of the night sky. So, as it turns out,the star is not a star after all, it is actually the planet Venus.

We had another sighting of dolphins swimming with us last night. Not sure what species, but they had a funny tail like a seal!

Any ideas folks?

As you can tell, their is no Marine Biologists amongst the crew.

Dinner was Chorizo, bean and vegetable soup. It also served for lunch today, with the addition of more spuds, red onion and garlic.

So far we have been breakfasting on porridge, as it is very easy to knock up. made even tastier with honey dried apricots, raisins, Macadamia and Walnuts.

Happy Thanksgiving day to my beautiful wife, Stacey, and step daughter, Cara, in Washington DC, USA.

For all of the non-Americans, thanksgiving celebration food, is like a warm up for Christmas lunch. Ham turkey and all the trimmings. Very good!

Regards,

Starla Crew
