Wings Blog for Friday morning, Nov. 8

Quick update:  Weather is sunny and hot -- beautiful day.  Very little wind and what there is of it is "on the nose."  The boat has a laundry air about it -- wet towels and clothes are hanging out to dry all over the place.

So, we're taking this opportunity to clean up a bit -- Dave and Tommy are finishing pumping out the swimming pool locker.  Howard and Dave are getting the water-maker back up and running.  I got some "work" work done.  And we're keeping an eye on the Auto-Pilot, which apparently pulled a "Hal" on us (from 2001, A Space Odyssey),  achieved consciousness in the past few hours and starting charting it's own course for us.  This development dawned on us when we noticed that the sun was circling around the boat.  Howard's first-line treatment for the Auto-pilot was to re-boot it; his second-line treatment was to hit it with a hammer.  One of these apparently worked, at least for now.

Bob fixed a great breakfast, so we are all well-fed and content for the time being.

Everyone continues to be in good spirits -- such a great time we've had on this trek down to the warm.

More later...
