Aglaia -

After a very calm if a little slow night drifting through the most amazing star scape this morning dawned with a breathtaking sunrise across a clear sky and deep blue ocean. Whilst admiring this and checking the chart and weather it became clear the promised NW-W winds are not going to materialise and running down wind with only 5 knots of true North wind was not going to take us anywhere so it was time to hatch a new plan.

After some effort with elastic, string and tape we have a repair in the mainsail that will let us sail safely with one reef permanently whilst the winds are light. So change of everything and we are now sailing under a stay sail and reefed main in 5 knots of true wind making 5 knots due West (yes to those doubting us we really are going to the Caribbean and not running away to South America... this year!).

Currently 28C in the shade with a cooling breeze, the ice maker is being put to great use keep our drinks cold and a chill out music finishing the relaxed mood aboard.

One thing that does deserve a mention was Scott our chef's dinner last night. We were sailing downwind at 9 knots whilst he prepared roast lamb with roasted potatoes and carrots, green beans and of course perfect Yorkshire pudding all served at the perfectly dinning table. I think we all need to start considering dressing for dinner.

Back to cold drinks and relaxing in the sunshine now!
