Day one done, nothing much to report aside from of course on chinese gybe,
one broken kicker, one flying fish assault on the skipper, several schools of
dolphns and a shark. oh and a claimed sighting of a polar bear
(Nicola).
So far so good with the sailing covering over 200 miles and already turned
west. Almost there really.
Happy profile crew.
Day 2.5, we think (time’s a mystery already, we’re living by the watch
system). The polar bears haven’t been seen again, but the fishing lines are out
and we await our fresher than fresh sushi (come on you swanky Londoners, beat
that!). As stomachs settle from sea sickness, we’ve a new enemy; the common
cold. 4 down. Odds on the rest get it. But we’re sleeping, we’re watching, we’re
cooking and eating, and above all, we’re sailing. Mission accomplished so far!
