Nexus - Wind shifted but no joy yet.

On the late watch last night, I was sitting in complete darkness as the moon had set, and was startled by a thump in the dark behind me on the coachroof. Looking around briefly I saw nothing so I settled back in my seat. Suddenly a flopping commotion startled me again...a large flying fish had leaped almost all the way over the boat only to land behind me and flop its way off the back. Athletic buggers!
Well, the wind shifted as forecast to 120 degrees off our port, but it also dropped to 10kts which makes for slow downwind sailing. Current also slightly askew in this region where it is more on the beam now before shifting back to the east and helping us again. Probably a slow, hot day sailing but the day is young! We have the smaller gennaker up because we need to fly it well to the side, but we are ready for wind when it hopefully picks up later in the day, and we're preparing the large gennaker for when it goes aft later in the week. Fishing lines are out, all is well.
